03 On the water
The Kleine Nete is a calm, flat river meandering through the heart of the Kempen. No strong currents, no open water. Ideal for putting a class in a canoe or kayak for the very first time. From the Ark site you paddle for 1 to 4 hours through woods and meadows, past herons and dragonflies, always with appointed guides at the front and back of the group.
Life jackets are compulsory and are provided. Bring spare clothes, because splashing is part of the fun! For primary school from age 6 and all secondary classes.

05 Frequently asked questions
For high season (May and June) and the end-of-year period we recommend booking at least 6 weeks in advance. For other periods shorter notice is usually fine. For Gnome Hill we ask at least 14 days' notice so we can reserve a guide.
Most programmes go ahead in any weather — if needed we provide a tent or an indoor alternative in our covered spaces. In truly extreme conditions (storms, thunder) we'll look at rescheduling the activities together.
Yes. We have public liability and accident insurance covering all participants during the guided activities.
We work with groups from 16 pupils. For smaller groups or special formats we're happy to get in touch personally to suggest something suitable.
Every participant wears an approved life jacket, which we provide. During the trip a guide always paddles at the front and back of the group, so everyone stays safely together. The Kleine Nete is a calm river without strong currents, ideal for school groups.
Two coaches can park right next to the entrance. For more coaches we provide extra spaces on the rear grounds, within walking distance. We'll send route directions for the driver with your confirmation.
Absolutely. By appointment we'd love to welcome you for an introduction and walk you through the activity locations together. Email or call us to arrange a time.
Of course. When you make your request you provide the school's billing details, and after the trip you'll receive a proper invoice stating VAT.
